Dorset HealthCare University NHS  Foundation Trust gain 100% compliance for commercial visitors

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust provides community and mental health services across Dorset. It includes over 350 locations of care and commercial visitors average between 75-100 on a weekly basis. Both Dorset and IntelliCentrics are committed to providing the highest quality of patient care. It was this shared commitment that brought the two companies together. In September 2019, Dorset selected IntelliCentrics’ SEC³URE platform to streamline the management of commercial visitors and create a safer environment for patients. Currently, only commercial visitors with patient-area access are required to get credentialed through SEC³URE. Prior to the implementation, Dorset relied on a manual approach to manage commercial visitors. The SEC³URE Passport digitizes the visitor verification and credentialing process based on the Trust’s safety and governance requirements, so every commercial visitor who enters a Dorset location must meet the requirements and is trusted to be there.

The locations gain full visibility into their visitors – who’s onsite, who’s compliant, who’s denied entry, how long they’ve remained on the premises and so forth. Mobile check-in is also enabled so it’s easy for commercial visitors to check in and out and manage their digital credentials.

“We’ve had a very positive experience with SEC³URE, which offers stronger capabilities than competing solutions on the market,” said Perry Spender, Head of Procurement, Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. “We like the mobile app in particular and also find the online training included in SEC³URE very helpful. Their support team is always there for assistance; we’d recommend IntelliCentrics to anyone.” “We especially appreciate the fact that it relieves the burden from the clinical staff at many of the smaller community sites that do not have administrative personnel,” added Spender. “The technology allows commercial visitors to check in and print badges without requiring personal assistance.” IntelliCentrics’ SEC³URE solution is provided to healthcare facilities around the world at no cost. It has proven to not only save time, but more importantly, raise the overall level of compliance at the locations and ensure that commercial visitors in the patient area are compliant.

With a mission to use trust to make high-quality healthcare as accessible as a good cup of coffee, IntelliCentrics created the SEC³URE Ethos. Built on three core principles – transparency, neutrality and independence, the SEC³URE Ethos is relied on by more than 11,000 locations worldwide to ensure two-way trust between patients, doctors, vendor representatives and healthcare companies.
