We’re delighted that our entry into the ‘Best Service’ category at the GO Awards Scotland 2018/19 received ‘highly commended’ from the judges. Supported by our customer NHS Tayside, the entry focused on the development and implementation of our SEC³URE mobile app, with the team at NHS Tayside describing the impact and results from the Board’s perspective.
Fully endorsed by the Scottish Government, the GO Awards Scotland celebrate ‘Excellence in Public Procurement’, with the category ‘Best Service: Micro and Small Businesses and Third Sector Organisations’ recognising the critical part that smaller organisations play in the effective delivery of public services. The award looks for innovation in product and service delivery, engagement with end users and the positive impact of the service provided.
IntelliCentrics’ mobile app was developed to make safe access easier for both hospitals and commercial visitors. Our SEC³URE service already helps commercial visitors comply with hospital policies and enables hospitals to know exactly who’s on site, when and where – and that they’re safe. The mobile app makes things easier and quicker in a number of ways, including:
- compliant commercial visitors can check in via their mobile device and simply collect their timed and dated photo badge, or use the app-generated e-badge
- the integrated GPS only allows visitors to check in when they’re on site, and confirms when they’ve left site
- users can check compliance at each of their hospitals and satisfy any outstanding requirements, plus, for hospitals using our Meeting Manager, book and manage meetings via the app.
NHS Tayside was the first Board in Scotland to both implement the SEC³URE service and to enable mobile check-in through the app. The team at NHS Tayside found that fully compliant visitors went up and it also helped staff who were supporting compliance as they could challenge any non-staff member, as they would have either a paper or e-badge.
